Pick the apps you lose hours to. TimeOut gives you a few free minutes, counts down the last ten seconds, plays a sad trombone and sends you home. Want back in? Watch an ad. The ads get longer as the day goes on, and at bedtime they cost extra.

No subscriptions. No in-app purchases. Just a very patient parent living in your phone.
